The PHEV variant has the ability to drive up to 38 miles of electric motor-powered driving, meaning that the vehicle will use no petrol and produce 0g/km of CO₂. Using a combination of both petrol and electric driving, the Mazda CX-80 PHEV provides combined fuel consumption of 176.6mpg, and CO₂ emissions from only 35g/km.
Our Diesel powertrain features a 48v Mazda M Hybrid Boost system. Our innovative evolution of mild hybrid vehicle technology captures energy that is normally wasted during braking. It stores that energy within the 48v Lithium-ion Battery and uses it to assist the engine and power the car’s electrical systems, resulting in impressive combined fuel consumption with high amounts of torque.
